Teen Birthday Party Invitations:

Teenage is an age where the little ones feel that they are quiet grown up to play kiddie games and send out kiddish invitations. So instead of sending out Invitations printed on cards. Why not Send out on line invitations with eye catching templates. Almost all teens are connected in some way or another, so it certainly makes sense the invites go out where they spend the most time. Here you need to take care that the teen party invitation is very lively, attractive and as per the age of the invitees.

Teen Birthday Party Themes:

  • Hollywood Theme: Hollywood theme that is often a joy for teen parties, especially among teen girls is the idea of an awards show. This includes the proverbial Red Carpet, plenty of photo ops, and a dress code that is quite formal (this should be noted in the invitations). It is all in good fun however and you do love your children right? Besides, the planning of an event such as this can prove a worthy challenge. You can use glittery star nameplates to indicate seating, have the “Oscar Room” decorated elegantly with a white table clothe and fine china, and have cameras flashing throughout the event to record important moments.
  • The Detective Theme: Here, teenagers engage in a Search and Riddle theme. This is a take on a Murder in a Party consisting of a game asking “Who am I?” and the second a longer one because it is a Treasure Hunt. To prepare for a Detective theme, all you need to do is be inspired by those “who done it” murder mysteries. Once you have a story going on then you can incorporate all these ideas and let the teen’s join in by asking them to solve the mystery. It’s not scary. It’s not scary. It wouldn’t give the teenagers any nightmare after playing the Detective game. In fact, it’s fun when played in the evening because the darkness adds more to the excitement.
  • Puttin’ on the Glitz : A jewelry making party that will put a sparkle in your guests eyes. You can get jwelery making things like colorful beads and threads from any party supply shop. Also you cab ask them to make tiara’s and necklaces and the best jewelery gets an award.

Teen Birthday Party Games:

  • Bike Rally: Bicycle that is. Teen’s have to go in pairs. Each pair is given different directions. One partner has the odd numbered directions and the other the even number, so they must stay teamed. The goal is to see which pair can get to the destination in the shortest time. You may also need some adult spotters at key locations to make sure the teens are on the right route. Of course, an adult host should be at the arrival point, too.
  • Lights, Camera, Action: Have a video camera or two and have the teen’s make their own videos. It could be a new music video for a favorite song, a commercial for some item, a short skit. Provide them with some starter ideas, some costumes and/or props. If you want something different than what you have around your house, thrift shops are a good source (except near Halloween). You can even take the teens to a thrift store or dollar store and give them each a few bucks to buy whatever they think they’ll need. And don’t forget the popcorn!

Teen Birthday Party Menu:

For a perfect teen party a little bit of feet tapping music with a perfect combination of some delicious yet simple food should do wonder’s. Teen prefer eating anything that that they can pronounce says Denise Witmer. Here are some food ideas:

- Sub sandwiches
- Pizza
- Potato chips
- Pretzels
- Corn chips and salsa
- Popcorn
- Canned soda
- Bottled water

Lastly, let us not forget to keep the party short. Long celebration hours become tiring. So see to it that the party time does not exceed more then 2 to 3 hours. Where all the guest get the time to play the games and enjoy each other’s company. This much time should be plenty for everyone to eat some cake and enjoy the delicious food and music and watch the birthday boy or girl open presents.
