A scrapbook
Scissors
Tape or glue
Paper and embellishments
A picture and note from each guest
When you send out invitations, ask everyone to submit to you a picture of themselves with the mom-to-be. Ask them also to include a short note of advice or favorite anecdote about motherhood. Give each guest a deadline to mail you the picture (since most people have email, it shouldn’t be too difficult for them to send you it all digitally). Put everything together in a scrapbook, ready to present to mom-to-be at the shower. This is definitely a gift she’ll keep forever. You can also modify this and just ask each person to submit their picture, put together a page for each person leaving space for them to hand write a note.
The mom-to-be will love this thoughtful keepsake. It will be a good source of laughter and tips as she embarks on her journey into motherhood.
