Most kids love to complete art and craft projects.  We’ve put together some easy and fun preschool kids crafts.  Simple and fun, they are great for girls and boys to get creative and have fun with.  These are designed for preschool age kids but could be modified for any age!

Pop Art

Supplies:
Bubble solution
Powder tempera paint
Various bubble blowing wands
White paper

This is a craft better completed outside.  Set up the white paper on the grass.  Gather things to use for bubble wands beyond your typical bubble wands.  Things like paper towel tubs or the plastic rings from a six pack of soda work well.  Pour your bubble mix into multiple trays (one for each color you desire). Add in approximately one teaspoon of dry powder tempera paint to the bubble solution. Place your bubble wand into paint and blow bubbles at the paper let the bubble land. When it pops the color explodes and you are left with some colorful pop art.

Wheelie Painting

Supplies :
Poster or tempera paint
White paper
Small matchbox cars
Sturdy paper plates or trays

Pour a thin layer of paint into the paper plates or trays.  Let the kids drive their cars through the paint then drive on their paper.  Use several colors for brightly colored tire track art!

Straw Blown Trees

Supplies:
Sturdy colored paper
Black or brown Tempera paint
Flexible drinking straws

Poor a puddle of paint (about a 1/4 cup) at the bottom of each piece of paper.  Then instruct the kids to blow through the straw at the bottom of their paint puddle up.  They lead the paint with their breath to create branches of trees. The end result is beautiful tree trunks and branches.  Kids can decorate with leaves or flowers if they choose to.
