When you are planning a baby shower the invitation is generally people’s first introduction to the event.   It’s an opportunity to convey a baby shower theme.  Even if there isn’t a particular theme, the invitation definitely is your first chance to let guests get a peek into the upcoming event.  For my friend’s baby shower since she was having a girl, I decided work on keeping a feminine design theme without focusing on one particular theme.

I choose to use a postcard option for this invitation.  I like it beacuse it still has a professional print quality but retains a simplicity.  I loved that the focus of this invitation is the design and how it’s very feminine without being cheesey overly pink.  i also liked that I still had room for a custom message along with all the party details.

I was able to add in embellishments that really fit my friend’s style and the way she was decorating for her upcoming baby girl.  I was able to take the inspiration from this invitation design and incorporate into the decorations too.   The best part of this experience was it fit into my budget.  My friend Lauren had a pretty big guest list.  But since the shipping is a flat rate of $6.95, I was able to get all 75 invitations for the same shipped price I would for 12.
