Cookie Cutters are not just for cookies.  Utilize these babies to spruce up your desert buffet, appetizers, breakfast with the girls, brunch, you name it! Make your food not only tasty, but fun and festive.   It’ll be the conversation piece at your next event.  Take a look at some ideas I conjured up.

For a spring, summer, soiree, or backyard party, you can create cute little flower pot sandwiches.  All you’ll need is a flower shaped cookie cutter and a pastry tip to make the circle.  I made little cheese sandwiches, and used food coloring to match the colors of the party.

Another refreshing way to add a little something unexpected is to use the cutters in your party theme to cut fresh fruit.

Here is a brunch gathering with the girls.  The theme was attributed to the love and support given by the girls in their roles as bridesmaids.  Throughout the journey of wedding planning, they shined like stars.  So what more fitting than to incorporate “stars” within the décor.  Of course star shaped cookie cutters came in handy.

Want to make things even simpler?  Use your cutters on store bought cookies!

Brownies are cuter when cut into a shape.  This one is a brownie badge for an officer’s party desert buffet.

For the holidays there are a multitude of holiday shaped cutters that you can use.  I used the Christmas tree to make little tree Panini appetizers.   Need I say… it was a hit!
