With Independence Day right around the bend, we went looking for some great patriotic decoration ideas and found these beautiful star medallions at MarthaStewart.com. They are made from medium weight cotton material. Choose your favorite pattern to create daytime fireworks with these beautiful decorations. You can hang them inside or out. Here’s what you’ll need:
•Cotton fabric (about 2 1/2 feet per medallion)
•Heavy spray starch 
•Iron
•Sewing machine
•Scissors or rotary cutter
•Fusible webbing, 1/2 inch by 20 yards
•Strong double-sided tape (optional)
•1/4-inch-wide ribbon

Hmm..this is something very interesting. I never thought of medallions as decorations for Independence Day. I shall got on to this the coming weekend and put it up by next week.
