This is a great kid’s craft for Cinco de Mayo! We found it at kaboose.com. The kids will love creating and then wearing this fun sombrero. It’s pretty easy to create, adults may need to lend a helping hand with the assembly since there’s a hot glue gun involved. Here’s what you’ll need:
3 10×13 sheets of yellow craft foam
Craft foam in red, green and white
12″ green ribbon
2 large orange pom-poms
Scissors
Pinking shears
Hot glue gun

It is noted that if you need a larger hat than one cone will make, you can just hot glue two sheets of foam together to create a larger cone. Be aware that you then may need to increase the amount of foam needed for the remainder of the project as well. Also, yellow is only a recommendation feel free to use any color foam for sombrero! You can even use fabric pens to decorate the foam. Add embellishments like dingle balls by gluing on pom-poms around the brim. It’s your own Cinco de Mayo Sombrero, so be as creative as you can!
