With our busy schedules it can be hard to find time to make a date with just the girls.  As working women and moms it seems we can’t remember to schedule a little time for ourselves.  Treat yourselves to a Ladies Night!  When you do find time to have a little relaxation with your girlfriends, try one of these five flirty and fantastic cocktails. You might just have to have a girl’s night in more often!

Bellini Cocktail – champagne with a peachy twist

serve in white wine glass

2 oz peach nectar
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 oz peach schnapps
3 oz chilled, dry Champagne
1/2 cup crushed ice

Mix the peach nectar, lemon juice and schnapps in a chilled glass. Add half a cup (or more) of crushed ice, stir, and add the champagne. (Serves 2).

May be prepared in a blender to produce a frozen drink.

Pomegranate Breeze -refreshing and full of harmonious flavors
 

serve in margarita glass
1 oz Silver Tequila
1 oz pomegranate juice
1/2 oz pineapple juice
1/2 oz acai juice
1/2 oz fresh lime juice

In a tall mixing glass filled with ice add Silver Tequila and all ingredients. Shake vigorously and serve in a chilled margarita glass. Or mix it up and serve it blended.

Serve in a martini glass

1 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Triple sec
1/2 oz Rose’s sweetened lime juice
1/2 oz Cranberry juice
Lime wedge
Mixing instructions:
Shake liquid ingredients in a shaker with ice. Place lime wedge on the rim of a Martini glass. Pour mix into the glass, up.

Vodka Martini- shaken not stirred

serve in a martini glass

1 1/2 oz vodka
dash dry vermouth

Combine ingredients with cracked ice in a shaker.  Shake well.  Strain and serve in a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an olive (or 3).

Lemon Drop Martini- tart and delicious

serve in a martini glass

1 1/2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Ice cubes
Superfine sugar for dipping
Twisted peel of lemon

Mix the vodka, Triple Sec, sugar, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice; shake well (supposedly the cocktail is to be shaken 40 times to make sure the sugar is well blended). Pour strained liquor into sugar-rimmed martini glass and garnish with a twisted peel of lemon.

NOTE: To create a sugar-rimmed glass, take a lemon wedge and rub the drinking surface of the glass so it is barely moist. Dip the edge of the glass into sugar.
