Planning the right activities can make or break your party. For a first birthday party you don’t need too many activities. Keep it short and simple and you’ll get the most out of guests plus you’ll get to enjoy the party too! Playing some music in the background is a nice way to tie in your theme as well. We’ve put together some fun activities and Baby Einstein themed music for your party.
Music
Have the Baby Einstein interpretations of the great works of composers like: Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, George Frederick Handel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Johann II Strauss, playing in the background. Activities
If most of the children at the party are around 1, you don’t need to plan any grand, structered activities- because all they’ll want to do is play! Here are some easy activities for all ages to enjoy.
- Story time -read or tell a favorite story
- Show home video of 1st year – limit to 10 minutes or so
- Ball rolls – have children sit in circle with legs apart and roll large ball to each other
- Free play area – fill with blocks, stacking toys, pull toys, and other young favorites
- Box yard – decorate large cardboard boxes and allow children to climb in and through boxes
The most important thing to remember at your child’s 1st birthday party is to enjoy it and celebrate all the milestones of the past year. Let your child get messy and be loud. Don’t forget to enjoy a cupcake yourself. Savor the moment! Check out our top Baby Einstein Party Ideas.
