Just what does one serve to a future American Idol? We’ve put together some great ideas to help you plan a red carpet spread for your superstars!
- If a birthday party, put the Birthday girl or boy’s picture on the cake. Just take in your birthday star’s favorite headshot to your local bakery and they’ll take care of the rest!
- If you prefer not to serve cake, make cupcakes and top with these American Idol cupcake picks.
- Make sandwhiches, rice krispie treats or jello in star shaped bites. Just prepare them as you normally would but use a star shaped cookie cutter for the finishing touch.
- Cut pizza into thin triangles and arrange one a platter in star shapes.
- Serve decadent chocolate strawberries.
- Create colorful fruit and cheese skewers. Light and healthy, perfect for superstars. Just cut up your favorite seasonal fruit and bite size chunks of your favorite cheese and create colorful skewers alternating fruits and cheese.
- Create “on the road” type snacks like trail mix or Chex mix in little baggies for your “constestants” to carry around.
- Serve Coke. When was the last time you saw Paula, Simon, or Randy without their glass of Coke in from them?
- Serve a party punch in champagne glasses to give it a Hollywood feel.
