A bridal shower is a very important part of a wedding. It is a great time to get together and pamper the bride. The time is usually spent eating good food, playing some games and opening gifts. However, not all brides are fond of the shower games and do not like to be put on the spot. To make the day a relaxing and stress-free time for the bride, consider including bridal shower games that everyone will enjoy, without making the guest of honor stressed. Here are free bridal shower games we have handpicked for just this purpose:
What was the bride wearing? - Before the wedding shower, make a list of 10 questions about how the bride looks. For example, what color was her shirt? Shoes? Was she wearing earrings? Bracelet? Was her hair down or tied up? Then, once all of the guests have arrived and had some time to get to know one another, ask the bride to casually leave the room without telling anyone. Hand out paper and pens to all the guests. Then announce that the next game is “What was the bride wearing?” Take out your list of questions, and ask the questions with each guest writing down their answers. The bride can then return to the room and everyone can see how they did. The guest who answers the most questions correctly wins a prize.
The Bridal Shower Purse Game - Have players find a partner and sit together with their purses. Then call off a list of items one by one. For example, lipstick, quarter, button, fingernail clipper, scissors, cell phone, picture of family, shoelace, rock, etc. The first person to find the item in their purse and show it to you gets a point. The team with the most points in the end wins. You will be surprised at the crazy things people have in their purses!

Bridal Shower Candle Scents Game- Buy 6-8 different scented candles and remove the tags. Number the candles on the side and place them in a basket. Then pass the basket around to the guests or set it at an easily accessible table. The guests have to write down the scent of each candle in order. For example, number one is vanilla and number 2 is blueberry. Whoever gets all of the candle scents correct wins a prize. It sounds easy, but it really is tough to do.
What’s in the Bag Wedding Shower Games? - Gather 10 common items from around the house and place them in a bag. For example, fingernail polish, spoon, toothbrush, pen, marshmallow etc. Then pass the bag around to the guests and give each person 30 seconds to feel the items before passing on to the next person. The person with the most items identified is the winner. If you have a large shower, it is helpful if you can make up two separate bags with identical items. This way two bags can be passed around at the same time and guests do not have to wait as long for their turn.
Pins in Rice Game- Have a bowl of rice with tiny safety pins in it. See how many pins each guest can find within a given amount of time. This game sounds easy, but it is not. In the end the guest who finds the most pins is the winner.
Draw a Bride - Wedding Shower Games- Give each guest a blank sheet of paper, hard writing surface (like a thin book) and a selection of crayons. Have the guest place the paper and book on their head and draw the bride in her wedding gown. Once everyone is done, have them sign their artwork and then show it off to everyone. The bride can pick the best one and they win a prize. The bride can also keep the winner for her scrap book.
The Bell Games - Each guest that comes to the wedding shower gets a small bell on a ribbon necklace. They wear the necklace until taken away by another guest. You lose your necklace by saying the bride or grooms names. You may only refer to them as the “bride” or the “groom”. The guest with the most bell necklaces at the end of the shower wins.
Scrambled Words Bridal Game Shower - Before the shower, make a list of approximately 25 words associated with weddings (i.e. marriage, husband, wife, bridesmaid, groom, bride, honeymoon etc) and then scramble them. Give the guests 2-3 minutes to try to figure them out. The guest who figures out the most words correctly wins the game.
Have a wonderful, relaxing bridal shower that the bride and the guests will enjoy!
